Well yes after what has seemed only a few months has actually been half a year! SO whats been happening?? Well im currently on the last week of my long service leave (boo)... But it sure has got WAY to quick for my liking.

So during the 6 weeks away from work I have been doing work! yeah sounds pretty stupid but half the house needed to be painted so its been a painting holiday (its seems anyways). Im currently in the early stages of painting the LAST room (the lounge room), to bad it has to be the most biggest room in the place (doh).

So what interesting things have happened in the past 6 months?!?!? Well to be honest not alot! kinda sad i think... Made some new friends on the net, been out with some umm interesting women (putting it mildly), still going to salsa at the mo, work still sucks and will be getting worse as i now have to do an afternoon shift very 2nd week (not happy about that).

Pretty much the usual shite to be honest! I managed to get away to Malaysia (pic above from the KL bird park) for a few days as well and did lots of site seeing, some shopping and other things :P

One thing that will be good once all the painting is done is that then i can concentrate on using my gym set up as it hasnt really been used much... Well back to it... (painting that is)

Well Happy New Year to everyone!

Its been a fair while since I last wrote mainly due to having a girlfriend and being really busy with work! But sometimes life likes to make things really interesting for you when you least expect and as of 11am (or so) yesterday I am now single again. Well it was fun while it lasted and the past 7 weeks sure went really quick.

SO my grand plans to spend a romantic new years with my now ex g/f didnt eventuate so i ended up hanging with Clae and Brooke and a pretty lame toga party but it sure beat being home alone!

Apparently I was the only one to have a relationship end with one of my best friends (Pete) telling me that his relationship with his g/f of 4 yrs had ended as well so at lease I wasnt alone there. I just wish that this year had of started on a more positive note but I just have to get my head back in the game and find the right chic this time! :)

Well I finally am back on line (gotta love ADSL) so the weekend was busy putting in a new phone line and then surfing the net! somehow I managed to use up all my download limit in 12 hrs (downloaded Nets vs Raptors game) so this morning I had to phone up the phone company and increase my download limit to 5GB, just a bit more then the 500MB that I was on before!

But it was great to be able to chat to people that I havent spoken to in ages and catch up with what has been going on since March. In other news I am also in a competition with my Boss and another guy in the NBA Salary Cap Challenge. The winner gets 2 cartons of beer and so far Im ahead by 250 points so hopefully I will be able to extend that lead. Its pretty good this year as last year was my first year in it and learnt a lot so Im expecting to do alot better this year. Currently Im ranked 724 out of 180,000 people so its going pretty good!

This weekend was one of rest and relaxtion (for a change), the past couple of weeks have been madness and managed to get some more reticulation done. The next couple of weeks look like being pretty big weekends so it will be back to partying again! no rest for the wicked...

Man its been another long day at work! Only 1 hour and 20 minutes to go (yay)
Anyways its been along time since I last wrote and time certainly does fly when your having fun or just plain busy! Well we have a new addition to the family, Lochlan Bradley who was born on the 24th October. Congrats to my bro and his wife! :p

Well last Saturday was a HUGE day as we had an event at Ascot race course (courtesy of one of our suppliers). 6 hours of drinking free beer and there was also a bbq as well. Not being a beer drinker I had to get used to drinking lots of beer and managed to cope quite well. That was only the start of the day!

A group of us ventured into Northbridge (firstly the Brisbane Hotel and then the Shed), somehow myself and Heath ended up by ourselves, well not quite as we managed to “hook up” with some very lovely young women who didn’t mind keeping us company (it’s a hard life sometimes).

Anyways we had fun and after 14 hours of drinking it was time to go! I think I’m still recovering because on Monday I was so dead that I struggled to get out of bed. Needless to say that I went to bed early that night, but the fun thing is that hopefully tomorrow night I will be partying hard again with Andy. You only live once so while Im single I figure that I might as well party hard and enjoy it before I end up spending my Saturday nights at home with a wife and kids.

On another note the NBA season has started and my team The Trailblazers started the season with a win over the Sonics, its gonna be along season especially with this young team. I don’t expect them to make the play offs but as long as they can improve from last season is the major thing.

I also just got hooked up to the net at home (yay broadband) but the company that Im going through forgot to send me the modem! so yeah really handy.... Hopefully next week I will be on line at home (hopefully)... later...

Hey all,

well it has been a fair while since i last wrote and Im currently working 5 and a half days a week so been kinda busy! Well it has been really hectic but the biggest news has to be the Eagles winning the AFL grand final by one point. It was the closest grand final in 40 yrs and after last years it was probably the most sweetest as well.

I ventured down to Australind for a Grand Final party and there was a few drinks drunk that day! It was great to catch up with many old friends that I havent seen in ages. Also my computer is up and going and when I get the chance I will have the net again at home, just trying to get some time off to get it done is another story! Hopefully in 2 weeks or so...

Havent had much luck with the whole net dating thing, pretty disappointing actually. I dont really rate it that highly to be honest, there are some women out there with serious issues so my advice to all single guys is dont expect much with net dating. As easy as it seems its probably better to meet women the old fashioned way, just get out and about! I currently have a few possibilities at the moment but nothing serious just yet...

The house is still slowly getting done up, i painted the gym room and now the fun bit of setting up the multi gym, to bad it was made in China as the instructions are bloody useless! I have been using "the force" to get it set up so far. Well must depart this wild and wacky scene (still at work). Later...

My team The West Coast Eagles today beat the Crows by 10 points after being down by 22 points at one stage in the second preliminary final at AAMI stadium. SO now we meet the Swans again in a Grand Final rematch and this time its PAYBACK for last years loss. All I can say is goodluck to all the Eagles players and kick some Swan butt!

Thank god its Friday! Well to bad I still have to come in tomorrow… there is no justice :)

Anyways its been another busy period with work being mad and everything out of work being sheer madness! One thing that I have noticed is that even though I have 4 days off it just goes so damn quickly. Mental note - buy house ALREADY renovated.

Work is starting to get really sh#tty, we have so many people leaving its like we have a farewell party every weekend. The problem is that all the good people are leaving and we get stuck with all the dumb asses who have no idea and that no one else wants to employ.

At the moment I’m thinking about searching after next May when my long service leave is due, so till then I just have to be patient (that’s a full time job in itself).
Ray has mentioned that he will probably leave after March and once that happens I don’t really want to be around.

Luckily I now several people who work for employment agencies so that’s a bonus. But winning lotto would be rather nice :)

Having a look at my October schedule and its gonna be a busy month, my brothers wife is expecting mid October, Andy is playing at the Rise in battle of the DJ’s, a couple of salsa parties to go to and my Aunty is introducing me to some of her friends twin daughters from Ireland so hoping it’s a lucky month :p

Another fine day at work! Well the weather was great but its been pretty quiet work wise. The past week has been one of great loss with the deaths of Steve Irwin and one of my idols Peter Brock who sadly died last Friday.

As sad as it was at least Brocky died doing what he loved, it’s a great loss to the motor sporting community and the community in general as he was a great advocate of car safety in Australia. He was a legend on and off the track!

Yes its full moon time and that means more wierd bahaviour from everyone! It has been slowly escalating the past couple of days but today has taken the cake with myself having to walk away from not killing certain people.

It hasnt really helped that the past couple of nights i have woken up at 4am unable to get back to sleep so im a bit wired and relying upon caffiene to get me through those hard patches :p
But having salsa tonight I am supposed to be doing Advanced one for the first time but think that i will probably just help out a lower level instead. There is one move in Advanced one that has 64 steps in it! think I will pass on that one for now.

With all the people leaving work at the moment everyone is now starting to look for work elsewhere, including yours truly. We will be losing Mark soon and so I will more than likely be going to work mon to fri but first they have to "show me the money" cos the way this place is going things are gonna get worse before they get better!

Been pretty quiet with the whole net dating thing! Brooke has been sending some "kisses" or whatever they are to some "Hot Chix" apparently (I dont have access at work to the web site) but gotten nothing in return (go figure) so I will let her look after that for me. But Im working on something so not all hope is lost! :P

Next saturday will be a HUGE night as one of the guys here is leaving (one of many) but anyways the night has been earmarked as a big night out for all (lots of alcohol). Its been awhile since my last night of alcoholism and really looking forward to cutting loose and bust out some funky moves on the dance floor! All I can say is "bring it on!"

Things that have been done since I last wrote:

- Car has been serviced (plus wheel alignment)
- Bathroom painted
- Computer is finally up and going (more RAM needed though)
- Cleared out 2nd bedroom (except desk whish is the next thing to go)
- Fixed up garden and planted plants
- Installed sensor lights in front and back of house.

Well it doesn’t sound like much but it hasn’t been boring. The funniest thing was chatting to my mates g/f Brooke today, she asked about the chic situation and had a good laugh about the chicks that I have gone out with the past 6 months.

Anyways Brooke has set up a profile on RSVP for me, I didn’t ask her to she decided to do it herself. I have done net dating before but on a different site along time ago and never really had much luck, but I have made many friends from it but nothing more than that.

So yeah I don’t expect anything to happen but who knows! Since Brooke set it up for me I might have some luck!

The past week has been interesting mainly with work! I found out on Tuesday when I was on my break that Mark (the guy that works the opposite shift from myself) will be working up north for 4 months. So now the Boss (Ray) and the Big Boss (Ian) are deciding on what to do!

Now this wouldn’t be an issue but they don’t want to replace Mark and are hinting at myself doing Tuesday to Saturday. This isn’t much of an issue either, the biggest thing is what hours do I work? Now they want someone to work till 7:30pm and for me this is a big issue.

If I were to work till then I wouldn’t be able to make it to salsa till 8pm and frankly that really isn’t good enough. I have spoken to many people about this and they agree with me but all I’m getting at the moment is “we will talk about it later”. I made it known that I’m willing to work to 6:30pm and no later, but with the way Ray has been acting in the past couple of months I think I will be having to look after myself.

Ray’s attitude of not being a Yes man has gone and frankly I don’t really trust him at this point in time, which right now isn’t something that I really needed. If I were to work late then it makes going out after work a lot harder! What happens if I want to go out on a date? There isn’t much time to go home and get ready.

The worse thing is being kept in the dark about it all and with this company they have a tendency to stab you in the back when you least expect it. Yeah it isn’t a great time to be working here, we currently have over 150 jobs going because they don’t treat there staff with the respect that they used to.

Well it’s pretty much wait and see and hope for the best, right at this moment! One things for sure I wont be going down without a fight!

Well Im currently at work at its just past 6pm, have only been back at work 2 days and it feels like alot longer! I have the weekend shift for the next few weeks (oh yay!) but the good thing (and only) about working the weekend is that its generally pretty damn quiet.

Sooooo like right now I try and think of things to do, unfortunatley going home isnt an option just yet but if it remains this dead then Im thinking going home slightly early wont be to bad. One thing that has been annoying me the past couple of weeks is my right foot. About 4 yrs ago I injured it playing basketball and every now and then it would play up but nothing to bad.

Well the past week it has been gradually getting worse and trying to do salsa has been very hard, most the time i can cope with the pain but when I have to put pressure onto the front of my foot (as you do when you have to do a hook step) then it friggin hurts. So it has got me thinking about the amount of times I have had to endure pain for sport or just going out.

Thankfully I have never had a any broken bones but playing sport has been hard at times, so far I have managed to annoy my parents and many ex g/f's by playing with a sprained ankle (or both), injured lower back, a virus (to many times to mention), sprained fingers (on both hands), a sprained wrist, an injured shoulder, bloody sore hamstrings, one injured foot (as mentioned b4), ingrown toe nails (the reason why I had one toe nail permanently removed), an injured right knee (this eventually stopped me from doing TKD).

These were just the main ones as I wont worry about mentioning all the soft tissue injuries.. maybe its just old age catching up or the lack of gym time in the past 6 months (hopefully the latter) but I really gotta get healthy and get this gym room set up!

I guess we have all been tempted some time or other in our lives to buy something? well the past 4 weeks has been rather painful as I have been checking out ebay WAY to much. Since moving in to the house I have managed to curb any unnecessary spending (well to a certain dergree). BUT alas the past month I somehow failed to remain strong and ended up with a mini ebay buying streak!

Being a bball fan (blazers fan to be precise) it's virtually impossible to get any merchandise over here so when I found a heap of items available my sense of will went on holidays somewhere. The only problem is that all these items were located in the USA so I ended up paying more for the freight then the actual items. So within a 4 week span I bought 2 t-shirts, a hat and warm up top.

I know that it wasnt the best thing to do at the mo while trying to save up and get more things done around the house but to actually have these things is kinda cool. Well at least I will have something not to many people have in Oz, but from now on its back to budgeting and hopefully
I will remain strong and concentrate on the bigger picture....

Well the Boss has returned from his northern odyssey and I must say the past month has gone really quick, at the mo Im house sitting my parents place and the snoop dogs (Raz and Nelson) so not much will get done to my place for at least another week :( so next week on my next break its back to business and hopefully get some more painting done.

Ever had one of those weekends that was just “off the hook”? Well this weekend was one of those! I had Christine’s party at Onyx to go to and knew that I wouldn’t know too many people so I invited Andy from work.

Andy is from Scotland and having Scottish heritage myself we get on really well, anyways there was a bar tab so we got there early (thank god cos the bar tab ran out after 30 mins). Anyways with 5 buck drinks, you really couldn’t go wrong, Christine looked just awesome and had my heart pounding that’s for sure.

The level of talent there was amazing, the only problem was that the place was full of bloody metrosexuals. But it did give us something to do as we teased the crap out of them all. You have to start worrying when guys start using more hair product than woman!

Anyways by 10pm we made the decision to adios and managed to hail a taxi in our drunken state. To bad we had to go to The Shed! The Shed is one place that I really don’t have much time for, it’s mainly full of drunken country hicks, plus the music is aimed at the country folk. Not what I am into that’s for sure, if they played some RnB and old school then hey it would be cool but alas NO.

But anyways we met up with Paul and a heap of chicks, we danced, we drank, we partied hard and I was still up for it when they all went to have a break, I managed to convince Leanne (one of the girls that was with us) to join me and before you can say 5 cougars thanks we were pretty getting to know each other intimately.

The night ended up with myself, Leanne and Sharon heading home and yeah fun was had! Cant wait for the next weekend! J

Well im currently at my parents place which wouldnt be to bad if I didnt feel like absolute crap! I woke up Wednesday morning and felt pretty damn average and like a annoying relative this damn flu thing just wont "p*ss off"

So what do you do when you feel like crap? Well I found solace in coming back home. Its sorta like a security blanket for me, If I was home right now i would probably be thinking of things to do around the house so this way I have to chill out.

Well the NBA Draft has been and my team (trailblazers) were extremly busy making trades and ended up with two top ten picks, Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge (pictured) who has obviously has been taking fashion tips from yours truly! Hopefully these two will be the cornerstone that the franchise builds itself around. I dont expect the team to make it back to the play-offs next season but I think we are going in the right direction (for a change).

I was thinking the other day that I need to get some mental stimulation and have a cunning plan! Im thinking about learning how to speak french. Why? Well I did learn it when I was in primary school but stopped cos there was no course at high school and think that its something that I have to do, There isnt much mental stimulation going on at work so why the hell not?

Now all I need to do is find a place that teaches it? Im thinking Tafe, research here we come!

Fabio Grosso and Lucas Neill fight for the ball in what would turn out to be the deciding moment that would decide the Socceroos fate. To bad it was another pathetic decision against the Aussies that cost us the chance to beat Italy, but somehow I knew that we would get shown no respect after the previous matches which has been marred by very dubious referring decisions.

But to have achieved what they did was a tribute to the Socceroos and show's that its not all about talent but having Heart and giving 100%. We salute you guys!

The 2 Day Effect.

It’s bad enough that it’s Monday but when you suffer The 2 day effect as well makes it even harder! Let me explain The 2 day effect, you have a big night out (or day) and 2 days later you wake up feeling like you took on Mike Tyson. Well for me it was being awake for 20 hrs (of which 12 hrs was work), went to the Rodney Rude concert with Bundy and then to the casino for a birthday party.

The fun bit was getting 6 hrs sleep yesterday then helping Clae paint four bloody big rooms (well it felt like it at the time) in his new house yesterday in recovery mode. I got home and laid on the couch for an hour in a semi comatose state.

Saturday was pretty damn busy, I managed to get the insulation batts home and nearly took out a f*cken idiot in a commodore who pulled out in front of me on the way home!

The most weirdest thing about the entire night was walking into The Ruby Room at the casino and seeing Christine there! I was dumb founded as the chances of that occurring are pretty damn rare. So I teased her about stalking me and then had a good chat before she got whisked away by a friend. Unfortunately I didn’t see her again after that and about 2am I did a Cartman “screw you guys I’m going home!”

But before Christine left she invited me to her birthday party in a few weeks time so should be interesting! The only bad thing is that I won’t know anyone, its at a trendy bar where all the “IT” people hang out or is that pretentious people? As I said earlier, should be an interesting night, might have to think of a back up plan if I get bored.

I will also mention that the NBA draft is in a couple of days and with Portland having the 4th pick overall and trying to get rid of a few players it will be interesting to see what happens.

And finally a big GOODLUCK to the Socceroos against Italy later on tonight, I hope they kick some butt!

Howdy,

Another glorious day at work and it’s a Saturday! Well it was a bloody freezing start to the day with the temperature getting down to 2 degree’s.

Ok, so not to bore the sh*t out of everyone (including myself) I will very quickly go through last week’s events:

- Got the split system installed, got 100 bucks discount for helping out.
- Christine mentioned the dreaded “F” word! To all the women out there that don’t understand, that word is “friend”. Need I say anymore
- Getting some insulation batts for half price through work, hella sweet.
- Going out tonight with April (chic that I meet at the Deen 3 weeks ago) and her friend J
- Getting free carpet from Clae for the 3rd bedroom.
- NO WORK TOMORROW!

Next week’s agenda in no particular order:

- Install insulation batts
- Get tested at salsa to pass intermediate two
- Going to see Rodney Rude next Saturday night with Bundy
- Really must wash the car!
- Watch the Socceroo’s play Brazil, Go the Roo’s!
- AND SLEEP IN TOMORROW!

Another casual Sunday at work and I’m in the cant be bothered mood! Thankfully I have 4 days off tomorrow, but like most things I have to get up early to help install the split system (bugger). Some of the major things that I have to do before July are
- put insulation in to the lounge/kitchen area
- clean out the gutters
- organize to get the carpet laid in the 3rd bedroom
- get some new lino

With the Boss going away for the entire month of July I will be working Monday to Friday for 4 weeks, which will be unusual since I haven’t done it for 3 years. But at least I will be able to go to salsa early and have weekends off like normal people.
I figure that during this time I will take a hiatus from renovating and try and save some money. With the emphasis on TRY!

Thursday was another different night at salsa, as I missed my class due to work, I got there just before the 2nd session of classes began. I only managed to chat to Christine for a couple of minutes before I was helping out another beginner class. The funny thing is that a chic (Mel) who was in my beginner classes with rocked up for the first time in 5 months.

Now I had a thing for Mel as she is fineness multiplied and when the class was over (Christine had left) I somehow found myself social dancing with Mel and thinking of why I shouldn’t ask her out then and there! I somehow chickened out in doing the deed, my only reason was that I didn’t think it was right to do so after only asking Christine out 2 days prior.

SO, if I get the impression that Christine generally isn’t interested and Mel shows up next week (which I’m hoping that she does) then I will be giving her my number. Think I’m gonna need a holiday away in August after all this is over….

All I can say is “what the?”

Salsa Tuesday night and I got there early so helped out a class, in the back of my mind I was only thinking about Christine, but I wasn’t trying to think about the situation to much. Anyways she eventually rocked up and every time I start to chat to her some stooge interrupts! And this night was no different, anyway after the distraction I asked the question of whether she has a boyfriend?

And the answer was NO! I felt like Homer, cos inside my head I was doing a happy dance but I didn’t want to come across as some kind of sleaze or desperate stooge. So during the lesson we start teasing each other until she starts to feel sick, not a good thing. So being the nice guy that I am got her a glass of water and kept her laughing, finally after the class finished we walked out together and I couldn’t hold back, I finally asked THE QUESTION! (I asked her if she wanted to go out sometime)

And thankfully the answer was YES! So not to sure if or when this will occur because she does lead a busy life (work and uni) but at least she knows now that I’m interested and really cant do much more than that!

I just feel like an idiot for thinking that she wasn’t available, it turns out that the guy she was with is an old uni friend, duh!

Anyways I messaged back “ok” and got back an sms “how soon can you get here?” After getting the directions (thankfully the place wasn’t that far from my house). I very quickly grabbed a bag with my work uniform in it and I was off! The fact that I had to work the next day did concern me a bit but I thought that I could handle it if I got a few hours sleep. I wont go into to detail as a Gentlemen never tells but I’m sure that any person can use there imagination of what happened after I got there! Let me just say that it was a Loooooong night!

Needless to say I think I got about 30 minutes sleep. I woke up before my phone alarm went off and it was a bit of a mad dash to get dressed before the cold set in. I quickly got going and called in to maccas at east vic park for breakfast, which was a bit of a mistake cos it felt like sh*t afterwards. My boss wondering why I looked like crap gave me a puzzled look when I walked in, the first thing I did was head straight to the coffee machine and had 4 hits! Thank god for caffeine.

I was surprised that I actually managed to last the day without passing out somewhere, it was a pretty busy day so I really didn’t have the chance to relax. By 5pm I was starting to feel it, at 7:15pm I left work and headed home. It didn’t take to long before I was in bed and made sure that my phone was turned off!

It’s funny how things happen when you least expect it, driving home from salsa I was pissed off with the universe and yet a few hours later I was having sex. In some way I’m still disappointed about Christine but nonetheless the search for a girlfriend continues!

Last night was one of those nights where you have to wonder! I had only been at salsa for about 15 mins watching from the sidelines the class that i was supposed to be doing. Christine was there and we had started our usual routine of bagging each other out, I had my mind set of asking her out after the end of the class.

Anyways had only been chatting for about 30 secs when I was brushed aside for some stranger. Turns out Christine has a boyfriend! My first thought was "your f*cking kidding me" then I just got hell pissed off and walked away. Feeling like a bug that had just taken on a windscreen and lost! I was in a state of shock for a bit cos it wasnt what I had expected.

As the late and great Tupac sang "Me Against the World" I had this feeling big time. I wasnt really in the mood to dance but anyways I ended up helping out one of the beginners class and left straight afterwards to drown my sorrows at home with the aid of Mr Bourban.

I got home and went straight to bed and watched some shitty survivor episode and before to long it was lights out. At 10pm I hear my phone vibrate, thinking who the hell would sms me at that time of night on a thursday, it was from a female friend that was having ex b/f problems.

We chatted for a while and I told her about the night I had experianced and got an interesting question, 'want to join me in bed?" TO BE CONTINUED....

Man what a break I had! For the first time ever I managed to get heaps done (with the help of friends and Dad). Saturday was the day, D-Train (Dwayne) rocked up at 7am which was a bit too early for me as I was still in bed. So after an ice coffee it was straight down to Bunnings to get the antenna and some double power points.

Dwayne got straight into when we got back, while I started hacking the crap out of one of the trees in the backyard. It didn’t take to long after it was all completed, which was a good thing because as Dwayne finished Clae rocked up with the chainsaw. Unfortunately I didn’t get to have a go as the blade kept clogging up when we started on the rubber tree stump so it was back Old school style! (An axe that is).

We had out first casualty for the day when Clae broke my new shovel so it was another trip to Bunnings, plus I also got a bigger ladder. Some advice for people who are thinking about planting a rubber tree, DON’T! They are a complete nuisance and the root system destroys everything on its path. Dad then rocked up and started on the shower taps, we got rid of the constant annoying drip (thank god), so the place is slowly getting there! Saturday night I was dead tired so stayed home and watched TV.

Today at work was well different! With the extensive amount of rain that we had this morning, the workshop turned in a series of water falls, the roof couldn’t cope and sprung several leaks, and they were bloody big ones as well. And then this afternoon one on the forklifts burst into flames while someone was on it! Thankfully there were no injuries but I’m wondering what will happen next? I’m thinking the plumbing will stuff up and we won’t have water?!?! As long as it happens here and not at home, that’s all I care about….

It’s been a long week and its only Wednesday! Probably didn’t help that getting slightly intoxicated on Saturday night at my birthday bash didn’t really help. The night in a way was good/bad. Good that I managed to catch up a lot of people that I haven’t seen in a long time and to be able to cut loose! The bad thing was the people that didn’t turn up who said that they would.

It was a busy night, heaps of alcohol, dancing and a “romantic” encounter with an unknown female! Ahh yes just like an episode of The OC, oh I forgot to mention about my friends trying to be real suttle about myself “hooking up” with a female companion from salsa. Who happens to be seeing someone already! I know that this friend is interested but I could only ever be just friends.

Yes it was a different night! And I did pay for it the next day, feeling like I had just had an encounter with a large truck! Oh you gotta love the after effects of a big night out. To bad it had to correspond with Mothers Day (and my actual birthday), so I ended up at the parents place for a few hours in recovery mode.

If you ever have a hangover and not to sure what works, well the answer is:
- Drink heaps of water

- Several new release DVD’s

Back to the present though and last night was salsa night! Yeah it wasn’t too bad, I’m still in Intermediate 2 and thankfully so is Christine! I have been teasing her heaps since we have been in the same classes and she generally hits me back and calls me names (yeah its really mature stuff at times) :P but we always have fun!

Last night after all the banter I surprised her by being nice, which really put her off guard cos she was speechless! And Im hoping that it worked. One day soon I will ask her out, just waiting for the right time that’s all… Damn dating is hard!

Man I cant believe that its May already! And also nearly my Birthday, which wouldnt really bother me to much if i was ending my tenure in the 20's! Yes I am turning 30, which sounds hella old and probably is but there are pro ball players still playing at 40 so I have no excuse for feeling like an old age pensioner...

The BIG PARTAY will be at The Deen so looking forward to catching up with heaps of old friends and generally get pissed and run amuk!

The house is SLOWLY getting there, an emphasise on slowly! I painted the laundry and started on the toilet so next break im just gonna go hard and get it done cos it really shouldnt take that long to do. One thing that did annoy the crap out of me was that I organised to get 3 quotes to have the tree stump taken out and for some pruning to some of the trees, anyways NO ONE turned up so I pretty much have decided to to the shite myself (if you want something done you gotta do it yourself these days). So all i have to do is organise a big a** bin and im set, managed to get a chain saw from Clae so when its all organised he will give me a hand. Now all i need is a hockey mask "Langford Chainsaw Massacre"....

One thing that I have managed to do since moving is refraim from spending to much money on items that i dont really need BUT temptation is an evil thing and I found myself somehow at JB Hi Fi looking at DVD's. And yes I bought some which were on special mind you (that was my reasoning for buying them). Anyways I bought the First season of Star Trek The Next Generation, Friday and Next Friday. Having been a Star Trek fan for ages its taken myself ages to get the first season, but the fact that they were so bloody expensive to buy I never bothered, but when theres nearly 60 bucks discount how could i resist?!!?!? The movie "Friday" is a classic, back in the day we would watch it over and over again (helps when you have a friend who works in a video store).

Well the NBA regular season is finally over and my beloved TrailBlazers finished dead last! Now I just hope that they get the first pick in the draft and draft THE RIGHT PLAYER!
Anyways gotta shoot, currently at work and its nearly morning tea time so adios!

Hey,

Im currently trying to stay awake from another looooong night out. Having only just recovered from thursday night I decided to torture myself to another night out during my shift, usually I try and limit the amount of times I go out during my 4 day shift but being me I couldnt resist the temptation to go out to tea and then on to a nightclub.

This time i met up with Paul at Hans cafe, a great place for tasty asian food at really cheap prices. Then we ventured onto The Shed (a place full of feral country yokels), why you ask?? Well Paul loves the place (why i dont know), next time its gonna be the Deen! give me some of those old school funky RnB tunes and Im as happy as a pig in mud.

So now Im paying for it! I think I got about 4hrs sleep and getting up at 6am this morning was pretty hard, probably worse since its easter sunday and most NORMAL people were still asleep.
Anyways dragging my sorry a** to work isnt really the ideal thing to do on a sunday but its my last day then i get 4 days off (thank god). But the fun doesnt stop there, cos on my days off its back to renovating (mostly painting).

Welcome back!

Well something that i did forget to mention in my last blog was seeing Snoop Dogg in concert. I have always wanted to see him live and finally got the chance last week. After heaps of hype, I must say (and also according to many articles) i was rather disappointed. Clae and myself lined up at 6pm and finally got to go in just before 7:30, at 8pm we had some DJ play for a bit then some unknown band. They were pretty damn average and all the crowed (and myself) wanted was for Snoop to get on stage.

After three and a half hours of waiting we finally were entertained by the man himself! By this stage my feet were hella sore, standing in the same spot for hours generally does that! Anyways once he got going it was good but for $120 it really wasnt worth it. We got the premium tickets so were 5 metres away from the stage, 2 days later and my ears were still ringing!

After reading several articles which pretty much said much harsher things about the concert (which I had to agree with) but being a Snoop fan it was good to finally realise a dream, Hopefully next time when he comes back it will be alot better!

Hey all!

yes i am still alive and extremely busy! well since i last wrote i have moved into the duplex and living the life of a bachelor. The move itself was just so fun, it turned out to be one of the hottest weekends this year and the humidity was shocking BUT we all managed to get the job done.

So far i have been slowly getting things done around the house, i havent started painting just yet but will hopefully be started soon! Normally i would have the help of my folks to help with a lot of things but they are themselves getting there place ready to sell so its just be me! Last weekend I got the surround sound system all hooked up with the help of my oldest friend Dwayne. The fast and the Furious has never sounded so good....

For a while i was "dating" a particularly attractive young lady from salsa BUT the dreaded "just want to be friends" phrase reared its ugly head and its back to business in that area.

I am still going to salsa but due to my roster being changed at work, i cant get to the early classes and the level i am on now is on at the early session, typical! but apparently the style that i am doing (casino) is going to be slowly phased out and replaced with "millenium". I dont know how different they are but will have to eventually change over at some point.

The amount of people doing salsa is slowly declining (that i have noticed) so maybe thats part of the reason. My usual social dance partner "Leah" left about 4 weeks ago to travel the world for 12 months (some people are lucky) so dancing with different women each week has been interesting.

Probably the BIGGEST news has been that my brother and wife are expecting a baby! Yes I am going to be an uncle again. So mum has been running around buying baby stuff and spent 2 days on the phone telling people (according to Dad). Interesting times ahead...

Back to the house though, I am finding that i am turning into Tim "the toolman" Taylor! nearly every break i have I am checking out new tools and am thinking about buying a chainsaw! which could be a dangerous thing...

anyways gotta get back to work but will try and post some photos later on, just have to add that to the increasing long list of things to do....

Its certainly been a while since my last entry and man its been pretty damn full on! Firstly I finally bought a place in Langford (3 x 1 duplex) it was a bit more than that I wanted to pay but the way the market is at the mo its more like you snooze and you lose! The amount of times I rang up about a place only to be told that it had already sold was really common so I was really surprised when this place was still available when I rang up.

There had been an offer put on the place but it was rejected so I very quickly got my butt to have a look at the house and was really surprised that of the 19 couples that went through the place there was only 1 offer. It does need some work and a new kitchen and bathroom (its currently looking like something out of Austin Powers with the 70’s décor). But that’s something to do later on.

So another 2 weeks and I will be moving out! I haven’t gotten to the fun bit of buying the big electrical things just yet but have a bit of money to spend so im hoping that I have enough left over to get a big plasma or LCD TV. There is so much to organise so I wont be sitting at home playing PS2 for the next 4 weeks by the looks of it.

Next Saturday will be doing some work on the car, putting an air pod on the commodore so will be helped by one of the guys from work (extractors will be next). Have been doing a lot of homework on the air pod and there are conflicting opinions on whats better (air pod or panel filter) so hopefully the set up we have in mind will work best.

Ok well salsa has been really quiet in the past month (why I have no idea) but thankfully Thursday was a lot better, for a start I had someone else in the class to practise with (Leah) so after the lesson we went mad on the dance floor (dancing that is) and it was great, still a lot of practise needed but slowly getting there.

Something else which has come into my mind this week is planning for my 30^th! Yeah Im getting old but hey don’t we all at some time?!?!? Anyways hopefully will be having it at the Deen and it will be HUGE, but will have to book it before I get ahead of myself.

As you can tell by the title January flew past faster then a F-18, it was what I would call "Bizzay"and febuary looks like being the same.

At the mo its like groundhog day with house hunting, salsa and work being the things that seem to be on my mind more than anything else, BUT then I had something else to keep me busy. A job come up at our head office which pays ALOT more then what im currently on, the position is similar to what I do now but more involved.

Dont get me wrong I really enjoy being at Welshpool as my Boss is da bomb and most the guys there are really great but an opportunity like this doesnt come around that often. So I bit the bullet and applied for the job with probably half the company doing the same! SO whatever happens is anyones guess, the extra pay will definately help.... :)

Most my time at the mo is spent house hunting and I thought searching for a car was a pain, well times that by 100 and thats what its like, I missed out on a really nice place on thursday so its back to the grind. You have to start worrying when you start dreaming about buying houses (or is that having nightmares?). Cant wait till its all over then I can concentrate on others parts of my life, like sleep!

Well I gotta get back to the business of house hunting, got a place to loook at this arvo (gee cant wait)....

Hello and welcome to 2006!!

Well the past week has seemed to have flown by and it doesnt appear to be slowing down either! New years was pretty mad at gloucester park with the fire works being the highlight of the night, I was the only single guy in the group (Jessica Alba was busy that night) so I had to fly solo.

Anyways fast forward to tuesday night and after salsa, I got chatting to this guy who decided to share his problems with women with me (who am I Dr Phil??), so Im sitting while he is blabbering away and it came to me that alot of guys dont really have much of an idea when it comes to women (coming from a single guy thats pretty funny I know but this guy had NO IDEA).

So I decided to enlighten him with some words of advice and I thought that I would share them with you all. Ladies if any this advice is wrong then please let me know cos Im no Don Juan! ;p

1. Be yourself, dont try and be something your not as women can sense when your not! kinda scarey I know!

2. Hygene!! yeah it does turn a women off if you havent had a shower in a couple of days and smell like something that is decomposing! DEODORANT helps especially if you sweat alot!!

3. Smile, sounds hard I know but looking like your about to kill yourself or someone isnt much of a turn on.

4. Be polite and friendly! manners are really good and alot of guys dont do the simple things anymore, like opening a door for a women, offering her your coat if its cold, flowers always make a great impression! NOTE: don't over do the whole present thing cos it can work against you (a present a week is a bit overkill) it makes you look a bit desperate.

5. Have a sense of humour! if your naturally funny then use it, if you find it hard to be funny then learn a few jokes (non offensive ones prefered). One of my fav things to do is tease them but in a good way.... "nice shoes, so which pixie did you steal those shoes from?" stuff like that.

6. Be a friend first of all! dont be another sleezy guy who is only after one thing.

Do avoid;

1. do not call and email her every 2 hrs, last thing you want to do is scare her away and finding a restraining order against you (NOT speaking from previous experiance!) every couple of days is a better option.

2. No means no! NEVER force yourself upon a women or face the consequences of being put in a jail cell with a BIG guy called Bubba who will make you his bitch!

Farewell 2005!

Well the end of the year is nearly here, its been an interesting year (that I can remember) as it went so damn quick!

The first 6 months were pretty much a blur but that was probably mainly due to the fact that it was repetitive a lot of the times.

From June onwards it was a different story, the top 5 things to happen in no particular order were:

1. Going to Malaysia, it was an amazing place and the people were great (and not to forget the shopping). It was a worth while trip that I didn’t want to end but being away from work does that to you!

2. The decision to take up salsa which I know I have probably mentioned too many times already but something that I look forward to every week, I have met so many amazing people through salsa and some that I would rather forget as well.

Last week was funny as one of the girls that usually helps out mentioned that I was the only guy in the class that wasn’t creepy, gee what a compliment! But then I sorta realised what she was talking about and I really had to agree.

3. Selling the block! Well it only took about 4 months to happen but It did finally sell (yay) and by selling it I was able to have a substantial deposit for my own place (just waiting on loan approval right now, then its house hunting).

4. Buying the Commodore, as much as I loved the Lancer it was slowly degrading (well it was 8yrs old). I still miss driving it around but don’t miss the hassles.

5. Our last Christmas at our house, with the folks building there new house it was great to have all the family around to celebrate it for the last time at the house that really is my home.

Well next year really is going to be the beginning of a new era, my own place (somewhere), Turning 30 (although I would rather stay 29), hopefully finding the woman of my dreams (unless I have already met her?!?!), umm pretty much living life to the fullest!

So for the final time this year it’s a big CHEERIO to you all, have a absolute mad new year, drink lots and partay hard! :p

Howdy all!

Well time flys when your having fun or just plain busy, once again another year has flown past and we are nearing towards the end of 2005. Must say that I really cant remember where the year went, but the last 6 months have definately been fun or should I say interesting!

From the trip to Malaysia to the drama of selling the lancer, it sure hasnt been boring! But thats what life is all about, what will be sad is that this is the last year that I will be spending xmas at my parents house as they will be moving down south when there new house is built. There are alot of memories in the old place but it will be good to visit the folks in there new house as its only 5 minutes from the beach (hella sweet).

So it will be one xmas day to remember, no doubt a lot of alcohol will be drunk that day. New Years is another thing but I really have not made a decision on what to do yet, have a couple of invites but will wait till later before i make a decision.

Salsa has been getting better mainly because Im getting Better!!! having time away didnt help so putting in some hard work now thats for sure. And also meeting some very lovely ladies at the same time (sorry but i had to mention it). Guys, if you want to meet women and the pub/club scene is not you then take up dancing lessons!

I do have to say a BIG congratulations to my good friends Nathan and Michelle on the arrival of there first child Ashley Paige, look forward to catching up with you guys soon.

I went and saw The Brothers Grimm last night and it was ok, nothing really special so I would recommend that you wait till the DVD comes out to watch it, also yesterday I managed to obtain a copy of Orgazmo (from the creators of South Park), this is hell funny and is a must if you like there other movies Team America and BASEketball.

Oh yeah also if your stuck for xmas present ideas just think DVD!

Man its Sunday already and another week of work is slowly upon us once again! Well the entire drama with the lancer has finally been resolved and it turned out to be the manufactorer's immobiliser so the keys had to be recoded for the pricely sum of $88. The headache is finally is over...

So its back to normal with myself and trying to save heaps of money for the future abode, to bad xmas is nearly here! Where the hell did the year go?? anyways that something that will be discussed later. But in other news Im currently in an competition being run by the NBA (National Basketball Association) called "salary cap challenge" and proudly in the top 5% in the world. Its not that easy but being a bball nut kinda helps alot, Im gonna aim for the top 3% so Im hoping.

Currently on TV its non ratings season and dont we all know it, talk about sheer shite on TV. No wonder Im watching DVD's all the time, at least one channel decided to show the latest season of South Park (thank god). But the majority of the time its just crap being shown so here are some ideas for those poor souls who are clueless of what to do! read a book, take the dog for a walk, surf the net, meditate, go on a date, wash the car, visit relatives (or maybe not), drop into a friends place and raid there fridge, hang out at the local McDonalds like you did when you were young and harrass the teenagers, run around the local shopping centre hiding behind objects while humming the mission impossible theme. Think that you get the hint!

Well I finally sold the lancer! The only problem is that I got a phone>call the next day that it had broken down. Yeah just my luck, most normal people would be thinking well it aint your problem but being the "nice guy" that I am I drove around and tried to get it started but to no avail.

Anyways I organised for the RAC to come around and he said that the computer had died (not good), by this stage the guy that bought it said that he wanted his money back!! So I managed to get him to calm down a bit and got the car sent to the mechanics a couple of days later and yes the computer was dead. We decided to split the cost of the new computer but will be so glad when this car is out of my life.

The past couple of months it has played up and become more of a frustration than something of a joy to own. So Thursday Im seeing the new owner and paying my share of the cost, I never want to hear anything about this car EVER again. The same day that the car broke down was the night of Geri's and Marini's fancy dress birthday/farewell party. I really hadn't much of an idea of what to go as but come up with an idea and The Pimp Daddy was born!

It was a great night and the dance routine went really well. I think having done salsa for the past couple of months helped a lot (yes I'm still going), it felt a bit weird practising the dance routines cos I didn't know anyone but everyone made me feel so welcome and that was so great. So now Im on my 4 days off and looking forward to the weekend, nothing planned as yet but who knows!!!

There is a big party planned for the Deen Tonight so looking forward to that.

what a week! after still not having gotten over the holiday it was back to work monday, to bad my boss decided to have this week off so i was by myself and i really couldnt be bothered. I was hoping to ease myself back into the groove but no such luck, it was chaos from the moment i arrived at work and when your working 12 hr shifts it isnt a good thing. One of my pet hates is arrogance and there are 2 guys that I have to put with that thrive on it.

I guess the only good thing about this week was that i only had to work monday and tuesday (thank god), on wednesday I hit the wall and was hell tired so just chilled out and watched DVD's. Thankfully i have managed to obtain quite a collection especially after the trip and watching 21 Jump Street was the go!

Thursday, I ended up in the city doing some shopping, I got some more DVD's and got my costume for the fancy dress party this saturday. I was hoping to go as a star track character but being my height doesnt help (everything was to small) so i had to compromise and ended up getting a pimp suit. Im still thinking that i might need an afro wig just to complete the look so tomorrow I might get one. I showed Mum the suit and she was in complete horror. So it must be good then :p

Well is been pretty quiet on the "chic" front at the moment as I have been busy with other things, I guess if i really wanted to I could hook up with a couple of chix but not being a player Im not gonna put myself into that situation. I guess Im hoping for that "when you least expect it" situation to occur. Im probably being to picky but I would rather wait for the right girl then rush into a something that isnt gonna last...

Wow Im finally back from the Malaysian odyssey!

I had an awesome time up there and certainly cant wait to go back. It feels kinda strange being back home after experiancing a culture so different from what i have experianced all my life, we (Paul and I) met so many different people and the places that we went to were just amazing.

Langkawi was such relaxing place to be and if I were to some day get married It would be a great place to go. The people were really friendly and although it was pretty quiet at times (there werent to many tourists) it was great to just relax. Although we did do a sh*tload of walking everyday so we kept fit thats for sure. To bad my camera decided to die 2 days before we left Perth so i had to get a disposable and luckily Paul had a digital camera so when i get the chance i will be posting some pix. I think we were the only Aussie toursts around the place as everyone thought that we were english!

KL was like madness compared to Langkawi, there were people every where and if u want to get a great foot massage then there are places everywhere! The shopping was awesome and we both went mad buying DVD's, I managed to get a heap of movie DVD's plus season 2 of the The OC and a season of South Park. We did go on several tours around the place and was just amazed at the place. The telecommunications tower was mad, to bad it was over cast but the view had me awe struck. The trip wasnt without its hick ups with Paul panicing the moment something went wrong or didnt go his way!

At one stage i was going to suggest that he get on the first plane home after a couple of days in KL, I was getting a little annoyed and tried to calm him down by suggesting that he try and worry alot less as things will be fine and try and enjoy the holiday. As Van Wilder once said "worrying is like being in a rocking chair, gives you something to do but it doesnt get you anywhere!"
And as I predicted things did work out and we had a blast! For me the holiday was about experiancing life and I think that I achieved that. But "all good things must come to an end"

Busy!

Well it just isnt gettting any quieter for yours truly, first of all the Bali trip is about to be changed after the bombings that occured. So Paul and myself will be going to the travel agent tomorrow and see if we can go elsewhere, probably KL and Langkawi (hopefully). A holiday is seriously needed right now!!!!

Work has been sheer madness, the Boss went home sick with a stress related illness (not to sure if I was responsible) but I then had to endure the shite, not the best week as our I.S. dept decided that they would implement a new system which managed to turn my job into pure hell. Thankfully they managed to get it going again but I definately slept well when i got home each night. The Stooge of the Month was postponed as I didnt really have time to do any research and frankly no one really stood out, which was rather disappointing.

Went to the car auctions yesterday with Dad, just to do some recon on some cars. I hadnt had any intention of buying BUT being a typical male I got caught up in the mo (although i was spurred on by Dad, who was more excited about the auction then myself). Anyways I ended up buying a VY Commodore, I got it for $14,800 which is pretty cheap since they normally sell at the dealers for 20 Grand up wards so was pretty impressed. It was a bit of a risk though as i hadnt intended to buy a Commodore and only had a quick look a the cars before the Auction.

Once the Auction got started it was on! Cars being sold at stupidly low prices and after seeing many cars and getting close to the end, the VY (there was heaps of them) came up and the bidding started at 13 Grand, I thought to myself "f*ck it" and threw my hand up. I set myself a limit of 15 Grand and when it got to 14,500 I thought that it was gonna keep going as the bidding was pretty intense but as quickly as it started it stopped at 14,800. My heart was going a million miles per hour and was still in shock that i got the car, after paying the deposit we had a look over it and it is pretty mad i must say. I will be picking it up tomorrow so will get some photos published when i can.

The ironic thing about it all is the VY is an ex cop car and I got pulled over by the police last Wednesday night, apparently the tacho gauge in the Enigmah might have been obscuring my vision (yeah and monkeys fly out of my butt). The REAL reason was because they (the police) had been speeding and got caught by a multi nova camera so quick thinking by them and I was the unlucky person to get pulled over. Why they did this was because if they hadnt of pulled me over they would have gotten in trouble for speeding for no particular reason, so I was pretty much there escape goat. Nice stuff! Definately a candidate for Stooge of the Month!

Hello and welcome to Singledom for the first day of October!

Well its been an interesting past week and a half, it sure hasnt been boring thats for sure with all the things that have gone on. First of all my car decided to play up and it turned out to be a broken valve spring, really handy since i was supposed to be driving down to Australind for a Grand Final party (which turned into a wake).

Luckily i managed to get a lift down with Ben on Saturday morning which was made interesting with Ben's CD collection keeping me amused. Talk about variety! we had the stereo cranking with The Beach Boys and a some of my fav funky RnB tunes, to bad the Eagles ended up losing by 4 points in a really close game.

But as there was a big group of us we pretty much consoled each other and kept drinking! It was a good weekend to catch up with everyone and also a big congrats to Dave and Alana on the impending arrival (well in about 8 months) of there first baby.

It was a long drive back on Sunday with lack of sleep not helping, having to work Monday wasnt something to look forward to but it was pretty quiet. The car (having been fixed supposedly) decided to play up again so I had to drive Dad's car around. Thankfully its running pretty sweet now but Im seriously considering selling it and updating with a newer car. But what to get is another headache, so its research mode on what i want.

Salsa has been ok but for some reason i have been struggling lately with my timing so I have to knuckle down and work harder at it as I dont intend to be one of those guys that no chick wants to dance with. The Bali count down is on, just under 4 weeks to go and really looking forward to getting away from it all.

Well my fav footy team has made the Grand Final and i do have to say a BIG goodluck to the West Coast Eagles for tomorrow's AFL Grand Final. Hopefully we will be victorious as its been a long time since we last won the Grand Final (1994). Kick some Sydney Swans arse!!!

Welcome to another instalment of Singledom!

Well this weekend the entire family decided to stay the weekend, as families do! And got talking about ghosts, now some time ago I wrote a blog about the experience that we had at out house many years ago, when my brother and sister were still home. Anyways some more stories about “our ghost” have emerged. I must have either been really lucky or unlucky (which way you want to view it) as I haven’t really have had any encounters since that one experience. The rest of the family is a different story!

Mum - saw something wearing something blue, which disappeared into the laundry when she was home alone. Wonder if this ghost does any washing? Would be really handy.

Dad - has heard foot steps in the passage way (most of the house has wooden floor boards)

Sharyn - probably had the scariest encounter, she was washing the dishes when she felt like something was behind her, then she felt like it was completely around her! Her response was to say “you wanna do the dishes?” then it disappeared. Obviously likes doing house chores as much as me.

Paul – was in bed one night and heard foot steps in the passage way, he quickly got up and found nothing.

Yours truly – well thinking about it, the only really wired things that I can think of is having things disappear and then reappear later on. Either its old age setting in or I have an over active imagination, last week for example I’m 100% sure I left some paperwork on the top of my TV in my room, so I got to try and find it later and it isn’t there. I searched the entire house and found nothing. It then turns up in the kitchen later that day.

They say that animals can sense things and our golden retriever must do! Nelson gets “spooked” all the time mainly in the kitchen and passage way. He will freeze up and not move a bit, and then whine at you.

Many years ago we had a cat called “Friday” who we all loved and there were times when you would be home alone watching TV and she would be next to you and all of a sudden she would be staring at something in the kitchen like someone was there, you would reluctantly turn your head and see nothing.

Apparently no one has died in the house (according to our neighbour) but obviously a previous tenant has decided to come back reside with us. Anyways I’m outta here but if you have a story you would like to share then send it through and I will post it. :p

Big Congrats to my cousin Sarel and his wife Taryn on the birth of "Imogen Shae", I havent been given much info as yet but apparently all are well. I will be looking forward to getting down to Mandurah in a couple of weeks time and visiting the latest addition to the family.

Well we are back once again for another “Stooge of The Month” award.

At one stage this month I was struggling to find any candidates for the award but one person didn’t let down. This months award goes to (drum roll please) Stuart Brodie! Congrats Stuart on your fine effort. For those who aren’t aware of Stuart’s effort, he decided to go “walkabout” for 40 days, unfortunately he sort of forgot to mention this to his wife and 5 kids! So after many weeks of searching by the authorities (including my brother) and heaps of media publicity, Stuart turns up in Bunbury alive and well and supposedly unaware of the entire situation. Sheer Stooge!

Another month has sailed past and the past week has been one of mixed emotions. Sunday I decided to go to an extra salsa class (level 2A is a lot harder than I anticipated) so the only way to get better is to practise LOTS! The class went really well and I was really looking to the next 3 days of my break with the idea of going hard at the gym as well (gotta get in shape for the Bali odyssey).

Monday started out as another typical day but that was about to change when I received an extremely saddening phone call that a family member had passed away early that morning. Sinead had been battling cancer for awhile and to say that the whole family was shocked at her passing was an understatement. She was an extremely loving person and the world is a lesser place without her. My deepest condolences go to her husband Robert, her daughter Anne-Marie and sister’s Aunty Marion and Una.

After hearing this I just had to get out of the house and went to the gym, I decided that I would go really hard (5 days later and Im still suffering). But as they say “no pain, no gain”.
Tuesday was “do a sh*tload of ironing day” well it felt like that, did a bit of pre-spring cleaning in my bedroom and generally tried to keep busy, also the settlement from the sale of my block is nearly done (yay) so will be looking forward to seeing the old bank balance after that is done. But as usual the government will be taxing me on the profits. Bastards :P

Wednesday, back to the gym! This was legs, biceps day and afterwards some swimming. After 3 laps of the pool I was completely stuffed, to bad I got kicked out of the pool because of the 1pm water aerobics class, which was probably a blessing in disguise. I actually slept really well that night strangely enough.

Thursday and back to work. But also salsa night at the Deen, the class was huge and pretty much took up the entire dance floor, luckily the guy/girl ratio was spot on (for a change). Natarlia convinced me that I should get tested to go to level 2B, I was a bit apprehensive at first but thought “what the heck” and threw myself into it with reckless abandon and it worked! So now the fun part of once again learning more moves, apparently there is something like 76 moves that we have to master, gee only 60+ moves to go!

So its pretty much busy as usual today even though it’s a Saturday and I’m stuck at work :p

Well I must say the weekend was rather different, Saturday night started at Donna and Darryl’s place and after a few drinks it was off to the Deen.

Now I love the Deen but the music that was being played completely sucked big time. To say that I had the urge to hijack the DJ’s box was a bit of an understatement, cos I’m sure that I could have done a way better job by spinning some old school beats.

Sunday night.
I have now been cultured! Yes I went to the Russian Ballet’s performance of Romeo and Juliet and I have to say that I was rather impressed.

Being the "male escort" for Geri and Marini was a hard job (slight understatement) but somebody had to do it. And yes as I mentioned in my previous entry there was a nude scene! And once again I was impressed, but what guy wouldn’t be with an attractive semi naked women dancing before ones eyes, who said ballet was boring!

It was definitely an experience that’s for and I do have to mention Geraldine’s fantastic effort in parking as well, I’m sure that Stevie Wonder could have done a better job… :P

So another weekend has passed us by and its back to the grind for most people, except for me of course, back to work Wednesday (hold me back please).
But at least tonight The Chappelle Show is back on (yay) and I have to make a start on my passport application so later.

Saturday Ramblings!

Before I go any further I have to say "Happy Birthday" to my Brother "Paul" who is 36 today and who doesn’t look a day over 40!
Yeah that’s pay back for all the torment over the years, by the way Paul, I still haven’t forgotten the fatogram that you got me for my 21st!

Paybacks a bitch! :p muhahaha (that’s an evil laugh by the way)
And back to it! The past week since I got back from Merredin has been pretty busy. On Monday I booked and paid for the trip to Bali and we are off on the 29th October to the 6th November. I must say that I can’t wait to get over there and run amuck but in a mature adult way of course, although when alcohol is involved I’m not gonna make any promises…

Well I found it really hard to get back into the groove at work after being away, it could have been the weather (which was extremely shite). But thankfully the 4 days went really quick, although yesterday did drag a bit, but that was probably due the fact that I only had 4-hrs sleep. Yes it was Salsa night on Thursday and it was very average! The class got split into two (as there was to many people) and our group copped the short end of the stick by getting the worse instructor.

I have had her before and frankly she sucks, apart from being premenstrual all the time, she just can’t convey instructions properly. The entire class had the look of "what the?" when we had to learn 3 moves very quickly. It was sort of like watching a movie in fast forward mode, not good at all.

After the lesson (or lack of) both Paul (my friend) and I agreed that it felt like we had taken a step back in the learning process, so I spent the next hour practising with Liz to make up for the previous hour. Hopefully next week will be an improvement!

Well tomorrow I will be experiencing the wonders of Ballet for the first time! Yes I am trying to become more cultured and the fact that there is a nude scene had nothing to do with my decision to go ALTHOUGH the same can’t be said for certain other people that I am going with. Yes that is you Geraldine or should I say B...! :p

So I await with great wonders what the weekend shall hold, I do have another birthday party to go to tonight (Happy Birthday Donna!) and hopefully will end up at the Deen for some RnB madness.

ROADTRIP!

Bonjour,

Well another week has past us by and it was rather busy, on Monday I drove to Merredin for 5 days for work. It was a lot quieter than I expected but it was good to be able to chill out and take it easy (and get paid to do it).

The drive there was pretty sh#tty, I left home at 5am and had to endure fog most the way there, only being able to see 20 meters in front of you is pretty damn daunting so it took a lot longer than expected to get there. But the guys at the Branch were awesome and really helpful, Will, Chris and Paul were the three stooges that made it fun to be there and I have to thank them for this.

So besides the lack of work, I did manage to break the bosses record in Yahtzee! 208, beat that Ray and surf the net and send heaps of e-mails, yeah it’s a hard job.

The best part was having the Managing Director of the Company "drop in" after having a really large "shin dig" in Kalgoorlie. Luckily we had a bit of warning and managed to clean the place up beforehand. I think that he must have heard I was there and had to come in and say Hello or more than likely check to see that I wasn’t up to no good! : p

While in Merredin, I stayed at the Merredin Motel and have to thank Shelley for her awesome hospitality and great cooking. Its gonna be hard not having bacon and eggs for breakfast now that I’m back home.

Well now that I’m back its pretty much back to normal for me, will be going to Salsa Sunday night (as I missed out on Thursday) so cant wait to get back into the groove. And also Paul and myself have graduated to level 2A, so we are moving on up!

Still have a long way to go but with heaps of practise and our natural talent (lol) I’m sure that we will be wowing everyone soon! (I’m optimistic by nature). Like most things having a good dance partner really helps to, but I have been practising with Liz and she has really helped me a lot, so a BIG thanks to Liz!

One thing that I have always had a fascination with is the Paranormal, even before shows like the X-files, Medium came onto the scene. I remember as a kid I always used to watch documentaries about ghosts, and be absolutely scared sh*tless later that night when in bed!
I have never seen a ghost but know quite a few people that have, my parents have experienced some weird things (including UFO’s).

The most weirdest thing that I have experienced was when I was 10 and we had been in our house for 6 months when this occurred. It was a typical summer’s night, warm and not even the slightest breeze. The entire family (my parents and my older brother, sister and myself) were watching TV in the lounge room, when we heard foot steps in the kitchen. Like someone was coming through to the lounge room.
I was the closest to it all and expected someone to walk through but there was no one. We all got up and searched the entire house and found nothing!

Not the most scariest thing to experience but it certainly spooked the crap out of me at the time. One of the favourite stories was what happened to my Uncle years ago. It was at night and he was on his way to the Ravenswood Hotel for a few beers (The road to the Ravo is virtually pitch black as there is hardly any street lights). Anyways on the way there he had a feeling that he wasn’t alone, he looked into the rear vision mirror and noticed a figure who had decided to hitch a ride. I remember him telling me that he didn’t turn around once and kept his eyes on the road the entire time. The moment that he got there he VERY QUICKLY got out and headed straight to the bar for a very strong drink to calm the nerves.

One thing that I have to do is to go on The Fremantle Ghost Tour, the old Fremantle Gaol and Maritime Building both have a history of paranormal activities so it would be one hell of an experience.

Things to have been achieved this month and somethings that havent!

- I finally completed my Buffy DVD collection! Much to the dismay of my friends who cannot understand why I like it.
- My block of land is FINALLY under offer (gee it only took 3 months); hopefully settlement will be in 6-8 weeks.
- Moved up to level 2A in salsa dancing, not quite up to Dancing with the Stars material just yet.
- After much thought I have concluded that The Stooge of The Month Award for July is a tie between Shane Warne and Jude Law, for their sexual misconduct.
Shane and Jude, being rich and famous still doesn’t give you the right to cheat on your partners!

Coming in behind them was the London Police for their “Shoot first, ask questions later” policy, now this sounds like something the Springfield
Police would do! (yes I’m talking about the Simpson’s) I just hope that no other innocent people are the victims of this ridiculous policy

Fantasy Island!

Sup People?

Well plans are currently under way for a holiday to Bali, finally a REAL holiday for a change! Its only been 14 yrs since my last real break away (that was to Queensland). Anyways Paul mentioned after Salsa dancing the other night how Contiki have set up a get away in Bali and how cheap it is. So after much thought (about 5 mins) it has been decided that its time to get out of WA and see another part of the world (even if it is for only 7 days).

I still hope to one day venture to the US to watch some basketball action but right now its Bali time! Nonetheless it is still something that I want to do sometime. SO all we have to do is find another 2 people and we are set (you get discount with a group of 4 people).

I was looking at the activities that are available and really can’t wait, apart from the usual shopping expeditions and site seeing they also have:
- Basketball
- Beach Volleyball
- White water rafting
- Cooking lessons
- Jet skiing
- Surfing lessons
- Learn to be a DJ courses
- Plus heaps more.

So I was pretty much sold on basketball, but when the DJ courses were mentioned I was pretty much ready to pack my bags! Being a DJ has been a fantasy of mine since I can remember. Hmm sounds like an episode of Fantasy Island!
Wonder If they have a midget yelling “the plane, the plane” whenever new people arrive? I just have to remember that I organise my travel insurance if Im going to be doing any action sports and not take my Boogey Board!

MMM SLEEP IN!

I thought that I would share a typical 4-day break of mine. For those people out there who don’t know I work 4 days on 4 days off. Yeah it’s a hard life at times but working 12 hr days does have its shortcomings as well. Anyways I will start with Monday.

Monday was the first day of my 4-day break so sleeping in was on the agenda and during winter that is heaven! But someone let the dogs in and not having closed my door properly I was awakened by Shiraz (Raz for short) who decided to jump on a sensitive part of the body. A painful start to the day! Being my intended "slack day" I nonetheless did my washing and watched several DVD’s. For memory I watched X-files, Buffy and some basketball. Pretty casual day and the only way to beat Mondayitis!

Tuesday, now this was the first day back at the gym for some time and I must say I did go hard. It was legs and Biceps exercises and those areas definitely got a hammering, including my bank account with the amount of bills I have received and still am (no big nights out for some time). Anyways once again recovery was spent watching more DVD’s and doing some reading.

Wednesday, well this was pretty much the same as Tuesday BUT now I got to exercise my chest and my triceps. Once again the old DVD player got a damn good workout in between ironing (anyone that loves ironing and wants to do mine, please feel free).

Thursday, last day of my break (bugger) and also the day where I felt like a speed hump after the previous 2 days, more ironing and some food shopping. Thursday is also Salsa night at The Deen so I was looking forward to that. I once again ventured to level C and this time we had a new instructor and didn’t have to swap partners every 10 seconds, which was great.

I partnered up with Liz and we had fun trying to master the moves while making fun of all the drunk old guys trying to learn the basics, if only I had camera with me at the time!

In conclusion a pretty average break, nothing to exciting (by my standards) but it sure beat being at work!

Just been watching Sin City and it sure is different (to say the least). In a way it sort of reminds me a bit of Pulp Fiction in the way that the movie is set out with the interweaving multiple story lines.
If you are going to see it, go with an open mind and judge it for yourself! Im not to going to say what the movie is about and ruin it but its based on the comic of the same name. Its pretty violent so be prepared, but what would you expect from Robert Rodriguez.
Anways its a definate must see so enjoy!!!! :p

Well another week has past us by and to think its already July! Time sure does fly when your having fun or just really busy.
I finally managed to get onto the computer as I have family (my sis and her husband) staying with me and trying to get two teenage boys away from the computer isnt easy! But bribing them food always works and also the chance to watch Episode III was to irresistable. So anyways back to the mayhem of last week and it wasnt boring to say the least.

First of all I had to get a haircut and was after a slight trim as it was pretty short and i still wanted some hair to keep my head warm with the weather that we have been having. SO what happens? I went to the usual place and got a new hairdresser, maybe I should have been a bit more specific but I come out looking like Vin Diesel! Which isnt exactly a bad thing but not great when its 0.5 degrees and you have to work outside...

I once again went to salsa dancing and went to the next level and damn it was hard, the instructor was really quick in her instructions on the new moves that we had to learn, needless to say everyone struggled so I went back a level for a refresher (joined by Paul this time). And it was heaps better, so the challenge is on to master level C!

To bad that thursday night was spoilt by the news about the London bombings, now Im not a violent person but I must say that the urge to find these low lifes and to torture them with a pair of plyers and a some rusty razor blades *insert evil laugh* is something that is to hard to control. Anyways hopefully justice will be done!

I have to say a BIG Happy Birthday shout out to a great friend of mine, Nathan aka Bundy, Scooter Boy, McStooge and a couple of other names not suitable to be mentioned. Anyways Bundy, enjoy your Birthday!

Thursday Night Madness

Hello! Well another new week is upon us once again and today’s topic is about dancing and being single! Yes the title isn’t Singledom for no reason.

Anyways back to the story, a while back a friend of mine suggested that we should try Salsa dancing some time, as it was a new way of meeting people and its actually fun.
So on Thursday night after 12 hrs of sheer fun at work I travelled to The Deen, I got there early and registered awaiting Paul to turn up so I would have someone to talk to.

Anyway the class started and Paul was fashionably late but wasn’t aloud to join in (being 15 mins late), but nonetheless I soldiered on being joined by many women and a few guys. And I must say Salsa is a lot harder than I anticipated, the beginners level is all about learning the steps so your not dancing with a partner at this stage (thank god cos I no doubt would have stepped on some toes).

After an hour of the basics then we moved on to the fun stuff, dancing with partners! It kinda reminded me of being back in primary school in a way except it was a lot more fun! I meet many different women although your changing partners all the time while dancing so there wasn’t any time for conversation plus I was concentrating more on the dancing than anything else.

It was quite challenging to get all the moves correct without looking like a complete stooge (although I probably did), but the FUN part was yet to come. After this level you have to pass a test to go on to the next level (something which I didn’t know about). Anyways I moved on up stairs to get my card signed only to be greeted with, "you have to pass a test first". Now I have sparred with black belts before but damn this was challenging cos I needed a partner and some caffeine!

But I was in luck as a chic from the class I was in was trying to practise the moves by herself so I did what any normal guy would do and asked "so do you come here often?" JUST KIDDING, I asked if she wanted to practise and we were set!
Now have you ever tried to concentrate so hard on something when your completely tired? Well this was me by this point, tired, hungry and craving some sleep! But thanks to the lovely Liz (and some help from the instructor) we managed to pass! Thank god.

Well there really isn’t any moral to this story except that if you single and finding it hard to meet people, then you have to get out and about! Go past your comfort barrier and do something different cos the person of your dreams isn’t just going to rock up at your house (although it would be awesome, that’s a hint to Jessica Alba).

I will no doubt be there next week as it definitely rated high on the fun meter, and if you don’t meet anyone then hey, at least you get to learn how to dance…

Random Thoughts for June!

Another month of madness is about to pass us by and so here are some random thoughts and also the winner of the Inaugural Stooge of The Month Award!

Well first of all I do have to congratulate the San Antonio Spurs on there hard fought win in the NBA Finals and I was right in predicting it would go to game 7, to bad I also picked the Pistons to win!

Anyways today is another important day as its The NBA Draft, so I hold with great interest what happens since my team (Blazers) have the 3rd pick overall. Just hope that they dont stuff it up and select some stooge! The reason why I say this is because the last time Portland had a high pick was way back in 1984 and they somehow managed to stuff it up and select a guy called Sam Bowie (haven't heard of him well dont be to concerned not to many people have) he was taken at No. 2 in the draft, taken at No. 3 was some guy called Michael Jordan!

Well I dont think that it will be much of a suprise when I announce the winner of the Stooge of the Month Award! And the Winner is (drum roll please) Tom Cruise!
Congats Tom on the fine efforts in making an absolute Stooge out of yourself this month and also during May. With his absolute Stooge behaviour on the Oprah Winfrey Show (what was the deal with jumping on the couch anyways?). His sheer arrogance when being interviewed by 60 Minutes (the Oz version for my foreign fans) and most recently the reaction of being squirted, "your a jerk". Gee Tom great comeback there you Stooge!

Anyways Im outta here, but if anyone would like to make a nomination for Stooge of the Month please let me know!

Howdy Viewers,

Well even though it is ancient news (Febuary), I thought that I would share some photos (below) from the storm that occured in Bunbury. These are courtesy of my brother who works for FESA (fire and emergency services).

There were some bogus pictures floating around the net claiming to be pix of the storm but were actually photos of a storm from the American Midwest!
So since I was a bit bored I thought that I would show you all just how damaging Mother Nature can be at times!

Welcome to another non-intellectual discussion about the unimportant things in life! Today’s topic is dedicated to those people with an infatuation with The Hoff!

Yes that’s right David Hasselhoff, that 80’s (and 90’s) icon from such classic shows Knight Rider and Baywatch (or was it Babewatch?).
The Hoff has made a comeback as a e-mail phenom, there isn’t a week that passes that I haven’t received at least one e-mail containing The Hoff (thank you Geri).

But what makes The Hoff such an icon? Is it his ability to make fun of himself that we all adore? Eg his cameo appearance in Dodgeball.
Well after much serious thought, I believe that its all about the do! Yes the curly hair, the mullet, the fro! If I could have hair like anyone it would be like The Hoff.

So how can you not admire a man that has starred along side some of the most beautiful women in the world wearing practically bugger all. That’s every man's fantasy (well the majority anyways).
This is one talented man ladies and gentlemen but not to may people know that he can also sing (and is absolutely huge in Germany of all places).

So what is The Hoff up to nowadays besides from being invited to functions being held by the Queen (this is no joke, I saw it myself). Yes that’s right even the Queen is a fan and I bet has a life size Hoff picture (From his Baywatch days), hanging around the Royal Palace somewhere. Along with the entire DVD collection of Baywatch!

Is he starring in Baywatch The Next Generation? Well I have no idea as I don’t have pay TV, but one thing is for sure we haven’t seen the last of The Hoff and that’s probably a good thing (especially for those die hard fans). Why? you are probably asking yourself, Well he manages to bring something to our hectic and sometimes mudane lives that we all need, HUMOUR!

Cartoons!

Another bloody freezing day today and in this blog its all about cartoons!
Well one thing that I have noticed is the absolute crap cartoons that are on nowadays! Growing up in the 80’s I think that we were blessed to have so many awesome cartoons, gees where do I start, Robotech, Transformers, Dungeons and Dragons, Masters of the Universe, Hong Kong Phooey, Thundercats, Voltron…

I know I have missed some out (must be old age) but these cartoons were classics and now you have cartoons like Dragonball Z and Pokomon, I think that you have to be on drugs to actually understand what these shows are about.
Kids today really do miss out in regards to quality of cartoons, but then again we never had PS2 or Xbox back in the day. Now I’m probably sounding like some old stooge but it’s just my opinion

But there is one cartoon (though it isn’t really for kids) that I do love and that is South Park! Now it’s been around for a long time now but I still love watching it. I can honestly say that there have been so many mad shows that I can’t really pick out my favourite, although Cartman joining NAMBLA was quite memorable.

Well even though they no longer show the classic cartoons (as mentioned above) on TV any more thank god you can buy them on DVD and relive your childhood by watching them.

Hey all!

Well normally I would plan a head what I’m gonna write in my blogs but being that its Friday and I ain’t got sh*t to do, I’m just gonna wing it! But just before I started I had an idea! What do people do at work when there is nothing to do?

Well I guess it depends on your job, my boss and I have discovered Stick cricket! So when its hell quiet it’s a fight to get to the computer first (we unfortunately have only been given one PC between the two of us, cheap bastards). But then he usually pulls rank and I have to stand by and watch (is that not a typical boss thing to do). So he challenges me to beat his score and when I do he then hogs the PC and makes excuses when he can’t!
But I would like to know what everyone else does in times of sheer boredom? Surf the net? Solitaire? Ebay? Send dirty e-mails? Listen to the Bosses really lame jokes?

What if you can’t do any of these things in case you work in a office environment?
Well looking busy is an art in itself, the key to it all is not to have a clean desk! I remember reading an article that said that its actually better career wise to have a messy workstation then a clean one! Weird huh? I could go into the logic behind this but frankly I cant be bothered (hey its Friday).

SO in conclusion make some mess, send some e-mails and talk on the phone, just look busy and the sky’s the limit!

Last night I ran into an old friend whose brother in law was recently in a serious car accident that has left him in a wheel chair. She brought up that they were so glad that he was still alive and that were lucky that it wasn’t worse.
This reminded me of the book that I am currently reading about the teachings of the Dalai Lama, in this book he discusses how he has found inner enlightenment and how we all should be thankful for what we have in our lives. A loving family, friends, a job and the sweet taste of bourban!
The point that I am trying to make is that regardless of how bad things can be in our lives, we should all have the mentality that we are lucky to have what we do have and to be more appreciative.
If you always focus on what you don’t have in your life then you will always have a negative mentality and never truly find happiness. Easier said then done I know, I would love to have a larger TV then the guy next door or the latest sports car or Katie Holmes (damn you Tom Cruise!), but even if you do obtain these things after the euphoria has worn off (and it does), you will still yurn for more!
I’m not a philosopher but I do know that in today’s day and age we are so fixated on materialistic items that we have forgotten the true meaning of life. Is the true meaning of life to find happiness and inner contentment? I believe so…
Whatever it maybe, I believe that everyone now and then we have to take a step back from the chaotic lives we lead and be thankful as there are always people worse off than us.

The NBA Finals! (plus some more)

Well we are finally here after what feels like an enternity, The NBA Finals!!!
After doing a bit of research (well about 5 mins to be exact), I wasnt really to amazed to see that the Spurs are the favourites to win the championship BUT how can you discount a team like the Pistons that have battled it out all through the play-offs? Even though they did come up against an injury riddled Pacers team and The Heat, but would they have won if Shaq and Wade were healthy?
These finals are apparently the most evenly matched but one things for sure its once series that no one should miss!
While im writing this blog the first game has just started but i think that this series will go to seven games and im going for the so called underdog in the Pistons to win.
Now to the NBA Draft...
Well being Australian I do hold some interest in who will draft Andrew Bogut, most people (myself included) think the Bucks will select him but my biggest interest is my Fav team The Blazers! Now i could go on and on about what they have to do to get back to the play-offs but frankly I dont have all week! This team NEEDS a make over and I dont think that one high draft pick is going to solve there problems, personally i think that they will trade down with Charlotte and probably take Gerald Green (the next T-Mac apparently). But with this team anything is possible! (and I wont even go into the free agent scene as its to mind boggling for even this fan and who is gonna coach this bunch? Samuel L jackson?)
Now you are probably thinking why Portland? well being an old school kinda guy and growing up watching the great Clyde Drexler glyde to the basket was a thing of beauty, unfortunatly the Blazers had to come up against the Bulls in the finals and the rest is history. That Blazers team was an awesome team to watch with Porter strokin' the 3, Kersey and Clyde running the fast break, ahhhh memories! But one thing is for sure it will be another roller coaster season for this team...

Well hello to everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this blog and what will hopefuuly be the first of many blogs by yours truly!Im still working out to do most things on here so when i manage to get some pix up and going.... anyways I thought that i would give a brief overview of myself (like all new episodes).First of all my name is Darren and i live in Perth, Western Australia. Unlike the east coast of Oz we are pretty much isolated on the west coast (hence being the most isolated city). Its not a big place but its expanding at a pretty rapid rate but back to me!Im 29 and single but keep pretty busy with work and hobbies, I work for the Caterpillar dealership for WA and work in the parts department, Its pretty interesting at times and i get to travel a fair bit around the state.If there is one thing that I love more than life itself it has to be Basketball! i have to say (and probably being a bit biased) that it has to be the most exciting sport in the world (Aussie rules footy is the next best). Unfortunatly im not playing any ball at the mo but still love watching it.Apart from sport i do also enjoy the soulful funky tunes of hip hop and RnB and dance music.Well must depart this wild and wacky scene but will update this blog everyweek with a different topic just to keep everyone amused!!
